چکیده
Introduction: Epstein-Barr virus-positive DLBCL (EBV+ DLBCL) was defined by the WHO, with >80% EBERs+ cells, although 20% used as cut off. The detection of traces EBV reported more sensitive methods than EBERs in situ hybridization (ISH). aim to analyze immune response markers EBV+ DLBCL, and compare them cases or without infection. Methods: Fifty DLCBL were studied ISH. expression genes evaluated Lymph2Cx. LMP1 EBNA2 transcripts detected double ISH ViewRNA Tissue 2-Plex Assay define presence EBV. LMP1+, EBNA2+, LMP1+/EBNA2+ cells counted tumor cells. Viral load measured RT- qPCR. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for CD68, CD163, LAG3 PDL1 at TME, PDL1/PAX5 performed. Results: 12/50 cases. A cut-off EBV+DLBCL. 19/45 (5 14 EBV-) good quality analysis. 19 5 expressed transcripts, respectively (Figure 1A,Bfig1). Only EBV+DLBCL displayed detectable viral load. When Lymph2Cx compared versus EBV- higher CD274 (PDL1), LAG3, among others, observed 1C). This increased not when its negative counterpart. CD68 TME assessed IHC validate gene results. PDL1+/ PAX5+ CD68+ cell count (p < 0.05), whereas no difference TME. M1 polarization profile prevailed entire cohort. However, them, differences proved PDL1/ PAX5 count. research funded by: grants from National Agency Science Technology Promotion (PICT 2018 0966, PIDC 0052), CONICET (PUE 0048) Keywords: microenvironment, non-Hodgkin (pediatric, adolescent, young adult), biology heterogeneity No conflicts interests pertinent abstract.

The Incidence of EBV in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma: A Comparative Study of Immunohistochemical and PCR Techniques
Background and Objectives: Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) is one of the members of herpesviridae family and a sub-category of Gamma herpes virinae. EBV, which normally has CR2 or CD21 receptors on B-lymphocytes, has mutagenic features for them. The virus plays an important role in causing some malignant cancers. About 30% of the cases with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma are diffuse large B-cell l...
متن کاملThe impact of Epstein-Barr virus status on clinical outcome in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
To define prognostic impact of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), we investigated EBV status in patients with DLBCL. In all, 380 slides from paraffin-embedded tissue were available for analysis by EBV-encoded RNA-1 (EBER) in situ hybridization, and 34 cases (9.0%) were identified as EBER-positive. EBER positivity was significantly associated with age gr...
متن کاملSpontaneous Remission of Epstein-Barr Virus-Positive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma of the Elderly
A 94-year-old female patient presented with anorexia and left axillar lymphadenopathy on admission. Her past history was angina pectoris at 83 years of age and total gastrectomy due to gastric cancer at 87 years. The family history revealed that her son had had a malignant lymphoma, the histopathological diagnosis of which was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. A physical examination showed both ce...
متن کاملEpstein-Barr virus positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma predict poor outcome, regardless of the age
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the elderly is defined as patients older than 50 years alone. However, recent studies showed young patients with sound immune status could also be affected. In this study, we investigated the clinical features and outcomes of patients with EBV positive DLBCL in the different age groups using different EBER cut-off values...

Epstein-Barr virus positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (EBV+ DLBCL) of the elderly is a rare B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder (B-LPD) that occurs in patients > 50 years with no known history of immunodeficiency or lymphoma. Patients present with moderate to severe clinical B-symptoms. These lesions show complete effacement of normal tissue/nodal architecture by large atypical lymphoid cel...
